This week I spoke about the importance of playing a bigger game. As ambitious, and high-achieving individuals we usually dream of bigger things, but how many are willing to risk all to achieve their dreams? How many are still playing small when they want to play large?
The last two plus years have taken their toll on people, and there is no doubt that it has created a tremendous amount of uncertainty and hesitation to take these risks. In my own life, I’ve invested an enormous amount of resources and time to play a bigger game and have completely reinvented my brand, my programming, and my social media presence. I’m conscious that it was a tremendous risk, and while I’m confident that it has been worth it, I’m still waiting for the payoff! It’s coming…in it’s own time! But even so, I am an optimist by nature, and I believe that what you put out into the world will return tenfold if you are willing to play full out and trust you can do it.
If you’re one of the small percentage of people who are only happy when you’re playing a bigger game, congratulations! Almost 70% or more of the population go along to get along which means they miss a lot of opportunities to expand and grow and discover how much more is out there for them.
When you are willing to play a bigger game you need to adjust your mindset and behavior to match your aspirations. This is my 50-minute presentation on how to adapt your thinking to embrace change and focus on the aspects of change that make a difference including understanding your passion and purpose, as well as the action steps necessary to make these changes, and how to stay focused on the things that matter.
